Priority enrollment window closes May 24th!
In addition to our academic program, SALT recognizes and highly values the importance of fruitful fellowship, building healthy friendships, serving others, and creating a strong community. Both students and parents enjoy connecting with other like-minded homeschooling families, and many make friendships and create bonds that extend well beyond our Tuesdays together.
SALT offers a variety of field trips and enrichment activities throughout the school year. These may include visits to museums, historical sites, nature centers, and other educational destinations, as well as fun, discounted outings as a group. We believe that hands-on learning experiences are an essential part of a well-rounded education, and we strive to provide our students with opportunities to explore and discover the world around them. Our field trips are carefully selected to complement our academic program and we encourage families to participate in our co-op events and activities.
All field trips are scheduled outside of co-op time, optional, and are therefore not included in the cost of enrollment. Typically, most require a small fee to attend.
At SALT, we believe fellowship within the Body of Christ and among mothers of all walks and stages of homeschooling benefits everyone. In addition to our time together at co-op on Tuesdays, fellowship and camraderie among the group is also supported by offering a few fun social events, intended to build morale, deepen relationships, and strengthen the SALT homeschooling community of mothers.
Displaying the love of God and meeting the needs of others through a heart of service is one of the core components of our belief system as Christians. SALT's Kingdom Community Service Committee helps plan and provide opportunities for our co-op families to be able to serve others in our local community throughout the year. From brightening the day of seniors living in a nearby facility, to serving meals at a soup kitchen for the homeless, or cleaning up a local property for Earth Day, SALT students and families get the chance to minister and serve as a group in our area, sharing the love of Jesus through service-based projects.
SALT is proud to be able to offer our members an HSLDA Group Discount Code. The Homeschool Legal Defense Association is the nation's largest and most trusted homeschool advocacy non-profit organization. With over 100,000 members all over the country, HSLDA is a Christian organization that helps protect homeschooling freedom and families in the court legislatures. The HSLDA also provides educational resources, assistance with fulfilling state homeschool requirements, and 24/7 emergency legal services to its members.
