SALT is built around a shared-work, true cooperative model, with the goal of collaborating to provide an exceptionally rich, wholesome, and well-rounded education for our homeschooled children of all ages. We desire to work together to lighten the workload burden of preparing and teaching the elective and fine art subjects, while also encouraging and providing an opportunity for mothers to utilize their unique giftings to serve and co-labor with other homeschooling families within the Body of Christ.
SALT desires to help provide Biblical worldview educational opportunities to our community of Christian parents, supporting and supplementing their individual efforts to raise and teach their children at home.
Our goal is to cultivate a love for learning and a passion for Jesus in our students through challenging coursework and a supportive community of like-minded families. We aim to provide a Christ-centered education that prepares students to think critically, communicate effectively, and engage the world with wisdom and discernment.
Our co-op is organized and run solely by volunteer homeschooling parents as a not-for-profit entity. No one is employed by our group or paid for the duties they fulfill to keep our cooperative functioning.
The co-op is currently overseen and operated by a board consisting of the five original founding mothers. Administrators are responsible for the leadership and general running of the co-op each year, and work with teachers and prospective families to provide appropriate classes for students, set up a schedule that benefits as many members as possible, and assign duties based on overall need and preference of members.
